Support the Community

There are many ways to support the work we do at the Turtle Island Journal of Indigenous Health. Below are a few ways you can not only support the TIJIH Core Team but also our authors, artists, collaborators, and creators

Donate

Our team consists of student and community volunteers and relies on grant funding.

Donations would allow us to show our appreciation for the knowledge imparted to us by Elders and Knowledge Keepers. Donations would also allow us to continue hosting community events with guest speakers.

Non-monetary donations (e.g. services, gifts) are also appreciated. Contact us to learn about the process.

Engage

Our events range from culturally-focused events such as storytelling to training events such as workshops on submitting to TIJIH. Attending our events allows us to engage and further build relationships with our supporters and collaborators. Stay informed by connecting with us on social media and subscribing to our mailing list.

We also hope that through these relationships, we will receive ongoing input and feedback to continue adapting to current needs.

Read

Support our authors and contributors by reading and citing their work. Check out our previous issues and blog posts.

Reading our past reports and editorials will also provide our supporters with a better understanding of our vision and mission.

Join

Our team is always looking for support. If you're unsure about which position(s) to apply for, contact us. The TIJIH Core Team is divided into three main streams of work: Journal, Community of Practice, Communications, and Logistics.
